Having Ceremony Music is essential for any wedding ceremony. Live musicians can provide a wide range of music for your preceremony (prelude), ceremony, and post ceremony music (violin, cello, keyboard, guitar, harp, etc. Most musicians will play in groups of (2-4) Musicians for a wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They are hired to play a prelude which is about 15-30 minutes of music while guests arrive, the ceremony songs (1-4 typically) and the cocktail hour (if hired of this hour). Having live music is a very nice touch for your wedding day instead of hiring a band, you can hire musicians for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then have the DJ play the reception music. Keep in mind that most musicians unless they are the band, do not provide a mic or sound system for the ceremony (a mic for the officiant) your DJ can provide this.
